We have more than 100 designs of homes we have built.  Any of these can be a starting point for you and can be customized to be your dream home.

Stability
Wolverine Custom Homes has made the investment in our model, showroom, and warehouse for two reasons:

  • First, we intend to be here for a long time, perhaps as long you enjoy your home.
  • Second, our investment allows us to bypass the middlemen that most builders have to go through for hardwood flooring, tile, carpet, lighting, man-made concrete stone products, real stone products, wood siding & paneling, solid wood doors, door hardware, as well as other furnishings.

Quality
We have become a dealer/distributor for the highest quality components. The pieces that make a house your unique home – Interior & Exterior Pine and Cedar, hardwood flooring, First run Tiles, Unique Lighting, Amish & Cedar Log Furniture, Dutch Quality Stone, Eldorado Stone, and RealStone, Emtek Door Hardware and TimberTec Decking. Yes you can find “cheaper” alternatives to these products, but you will not find the quality products we offer for less money anywhere. That is our promise.

Value
We build on a cost plus basis. This gives the homeowner much better control of the cost during budgeting and throughout construction. You will receive a copy of the invoice for every item and sub-contracted labor in your home. We charge a flat fee percentage to manage the project, even if we are buying at wholesale and passing the savings through to you. When you make a last minute change, you are billed only the actual cost for the change plus our flat project management fee.

Organization

We build custom, on-site stick built homes with your preference of exterior siding.

Construction is a complicated process. We rely upon Sage Master Builder software, an integrated computer program designed for custom builders. This program allows us to:

  • Manage vendors, tracks payments and insurance. Insurance management for sub-contractors is a critical aspect. We do not want to expose our clients to the risk of a sub-contractor without insurance. First, we make sure they have insurance before starting any work on our jobs, then second we make sure it is kept up to date.  This software system will alert us when their insurance expires so we will not make payment to them unless it is up to date.
  • Track project costs and provide acurate billings – At any point in the project we can report the exact actual cost of your home to compare to budgets.

When Wolverine Custom Homes builds a home onsite, virtually anything you dream is possible. Soaring great rooms with log accents, hardwood and tile floors, stone fireplaces, custom cabinetry, solid surface & granite countertops, tile or stone showers and whirlpool tubs are all common features.

Wolverine Custom Homes has more than 100 plans available as starting points and any of these can be modified to your needs. If you have more unique desires, we can assist in drawing a new plan or work from one provided by your designer or architect.

Cabin Series stick built from Wolverine Custom Homes

We have built the cabin series from 1,000 sq. ft chalets up to 5,400 square foot custom designs. The only limitation to these homes is in the complexity of design. These are usually done as ranches, cape cods, or chalets. Turn-key prices generally range from $120 to $150 per sq. foot (house only). Hardwood & tile flooring, stone fireplaces, solid surface & granite countertops, pine or cedar great room ceilings, and log stairways are all common features.
